PREMIUM TEST PREPARATION SINCE 1986
Thank you for your interest in SAT and PSAT preparation at Crimson Review. The schedules vary slightly from one course to the next, but all combine one-on-one classes with group classes and include a diagnostic exam and three College Board released sample exam administrations.
Although I have been a full-time SAT coach since 1986, I did not start out as a teacher. After receiving a BA from Harvard, magna cum laude, I earned a JD from Villanova Law School. While attending law school, I tutored part-time and found that I preferred teaching to lawyering. After law school, I gradually increased my business and then started Crimson Review, Inc. in 1986.
On the "old" SAT, over 85% of our students improved their combined scores 100 points or more. The average score improvement thus far for the New SAT is 190 points and five of our students have scored a perfect 2400.
Our students have been accepted at the most selective colleges in the country, including all the Ivy League colleges. For the Classes of 2009 and 2010, our students have been accepted at Bucknell, Cornell, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and many other of the finest colleges and universities. The large amount of individual attention my staff and I give to the students is just one of the reasons why they do so well. Here are a few of the important features of the course:
- Group classes to review the content and the test-taking strategies for the Math, Critical Reading, and Writing sections of the exam.
- Students grouped by shared level of ability.
- One-on-one classes to go over the diagnostic and practice tests.
- Practice SATs and PSATs in the new formats administered in class.
- Comprehensive home-study resources to reinforce what is presented in class and for the student to review after course ends.
- A guarantee of satisfaction: Improve at least 200 points or we will arrange up to twelve hours of additional instruction at no charge. (Restrictions and requirements apply, so please read the details.)
